Food to Increase Semen Levels to Conceive Baby

A low semen level is usually the reason why men might be unable to conceive children. For those men who intend to become fathers in the near future or just for those who are very much concerned about their sexual performances, diet plays an important part. It is not common for men to worry about what they eat, but this can really affect the health of their reproductive system and the quality and motility of their sperm. There are indeed foods that increase semen levels and they should be included in every man’s diet. However, they are foods from various categories which are not difficult to be included in dishes that can be consumed daily. Food to increase semen levels needs to contain certain minerals like zinc and selenium and certain vitamins like vitamin A or C.

It was proven that the best food to increase semen levels is that containing zinc. This mineral is directly connected with the level of testosterone in a man’s body. Zinc can be found in turkey, lamb and red meat which are great news for almost all men. Oysters are widely known as an aphrodisiac but few people know that this is because of the fact that they are rich in zinc. Beans and nuts, as well as pumpkin seeds also contain zinc. Another mineral that should be contained by foods to increase semen quality is selenium. It is of great importance for the motility of the sperm, an important factor for those wanting to conceive healthy babies. Selenium can also be found in red meat, just as zinc, but also in poultry and eggs.

Those imagining that only by eating meat they will increase semen quantity are going to be disappointed. They need to combine that meat with some vegetables because an increased semen level requires intake of various vitamins like Vitamin A and Vitamin C that can be mostly found in fruits and vegetables. Green vegetables like asparagus, broccoli and beets are foods to increase quantity of semen because of their high content of folic acid, so they should also be consumed on regular basis.

Other foods to increase semen levels are tomatoes, because they contain lycopene, a substance that was proven to increase sperm count, eggs, tuna, spinach or seaweed because they contain amino acids like L-arginine and L-cartinine with an important role in the semen levels.

Besides foods to increase semen level men can also consider herbs that do the same thing.
